April 24th, 2025 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

This session will be focused on John Gottman's Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse—criticism, contempt, defensiveness, and stonewalling. Discover how these communication pitfalls may be stalling your conversations and keeping you from feeling heard. You'll learn practical antidotes to replace these harmful patterns and practice healthier ways to communicate, strengthening your relationship and deepening your connection.

2

May 29th, 2025 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

This session will explore the concept of flooding—when overwhelming emotions take over during conflict, making it hard to think clearly or respond calmly. You'll learn what causes flooding, how to recognize the early warning signs, and why it can derail even the best intentions in communication. We'll introduce calming strategies and self-soothing techniques to help you regain control in the moment and practice ways to slow down emotional escalation, allowing for more productive and compassionate conversations.
